The session is hosted in a Mac Lab. It is recommended that you are familiar with navigating with Mac OS X.
You may want to have a gmail account as you can transfer much of your learning from Google Earth to Google Maps making your creations web accessible.
The session is heavily hands on. The first hour has extensive exploration of Google Earth and Google Literature Trips. During the second hour, we will work together to learn and create a similar Google Lit Trip. The final hour of the session is supported creation time.
While there are some group tasks in the final hour, the intention is to have you create a Google Lit Trip for your own curricular needs. I recommend a story that you know very well, or a short story that has real world locations.
